1974 Citroen HY Coffee / Food van for sale. Has been most recently used as a coffee truck, but could be used for all sorts! The engine was recently serviced and runs well; not that I'd recommend driving it very far. I drove it on and off a trailer and then into position etc, but wouldn't feel great driving any real distance. It all works fine, it's just 48 years old and a bit slow/underpowered for regular road use!
The interior fit out was done by Tudor Trailers in Weston-Super-Mare for a previous keeper. The serving area is in very good condition. There are a couple of ceiling vents and a long service hatch with a piston-operated mechanism which is very sturdy, and a drop-down solid wood serving shelf.
The whole van has been set up to run on electric, but has previously had gas and there is an entry point for a gas pipe if you wanted to go down that route again.
The current set-up has a 40 / 63amp commando socket feeding dual consumer units. We were lucky enough to have a regular pitch with a power supply so never needed the gas option and could have whatever electric appliances we wanted.
The interior includes:
- FRACINO DUAL FUEL 2 GROUP ESPRESSO MACHINE
- COFFEE GRINDER
(not in photos as removed for servicing)
- Stainless Steel shelving and double (1 & 1/2) sink
- Electric hot water tap
- Head level low voltage lighting
- LED light around vent canopy (this was over our coffee machine)
- Two under-counter fridges
- Cash drawer
- Commercial floor and wall cladding
Also included:
- Tailor-made cover
- Levelling ramps
The underbody is sound/solid and the overall condition is fair/good. These trucks do have a tendency to suffer from rust to the bodywork and this one is no exception (hence it's not £45k!) - There are some areas where this is more obvious than others, and if you are looking for a concours vehicle then this isn't it - but it's very very tidy and presents very well - always draws a crowd and admirers. The satin black and cream / white really suit the van and when we had the cream logo artwork done it looked great.
The cab is in pretty good shape as per the photos.
V5 present.
