The Lawn Edge Company is for sale.
An established, profitable business selling a range of garden lawn edgings to the general public, garden centres, landscapers and artificial lawn companies.
The Lawn Edge Company has a range of nine different good quality lawn edgings in its range including its own design of specialised edging for artificial lawns. The company holds UK stock (currently about 1800 rolls) in a local low cost barn in Dorset, the business itself is run from home, the business is entirely relocatable.
Sales are not only generated from our own website but we also have a strong online presence with major retailers such as Primrose and Greenfingers. We send the rolls out on a drop ship basis with Parcelforce collecting from home.
The business is profitable but there is scope to grow the business and profits significantly. For us it has been a part time business as we have other companies demanding full time attention and "The Lawn Edge Company" has not really been given any time at all. For any buyer with time, energy and enthusiasm it will be a simple matter to increase sales, we do no marketing at all at the moment and are still in profit. If you were able to do some online marketing, spend some time visiting the larger garden centre chains and perhaps run a Google Ads pay per click campaign you would see immediate results, we simply do not have time.
The edgings are made in China, we have a good relationship with the manufacturer having met them a few times over the years, they are very supportive and proactive. We only sell good quality edgings and have many repeat customers both trade and retail.
The current UK stock of about 1600 rolls (tbc) is included in the sale price, and at typical retail pricing is worth about what we are asking for the company.
