Leasehold Launderette for Sale
The business of Launderama Launderette was established 39 years ago by my mother Hazel in Lea Street Kidderminster. My wife took over the reins some nine years later. We found ourselves from then, taking on commercial laundry work. I joined the business some 10 years later and further established the company by introducing a collection and delivery service and bringing in additional laundry contracts, from my previous business contacts. We relocated to Comberton Hill, Kidderminster and started to really establish ourselves in the laundry sector. Hitting turnover of in excess of £160,000 per annum.
The Covid pandemic destroyed our business which was the lifeblood of the community. As the majority of our contract work is hospitality-driven. We didn'T concede but hung on in there. We just about survived with minimal financial government help and my savings account keeping it going.
Twelve months ago. We had hit the highs once again. With the return of all of our hospitality contract work. The collection and domestic delivery side also increased. So with confidence, we became Launderama Launderette Limited in. November 2021. We have exceeded the VAT threshold with this past year'S turnover at around £143,000.00 and will be registered from the New Year once our first-year trading accounts have been published, which is now in hand. We have now decided that due to our ages, Jane is 66 and myself 62 this year. It is time after all these years to retire and it is time to give another family the opportunity to continue the growth of Launderama Launderette Limited.
There are plenty of scoops to expand the business with the right business plan. For example, we achieve this phenomenal turnover by opening the shop from only 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. There is no reason at all (with family or staff) that Launderama Launderette Limited could not open from 6.00 am until 10.00 pm. Severn days a week. There is also a scoop to expand the collection area. To cover the surrounding villages and nearby towns of Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Worcester and Stourbridge.
We are currently trading at a very high volume of business due to the cost of living crisis. Our launderette clients are growing at a rapid rate and on a daily basis.
