There are currently 40 covers internally and up to 16 externally in the spring and summer months, weather permitting. There is a compact but well designed commercial kitchen, plus male and female toilets and a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.
All food is freshly prepared and includes home made soup, paninis, sandwiches, wraps and a selection of cakes and scones plus a full range of coffees, teas, milkshakes, soft drinks etc.
The Old Smiddy is popular with locals and visitors alike and has developed a regular and growing takeaway clientele from close by businesses and school pupils.
The Gift Shop.
The gift shop is well stocked and offers a wide range of jewellery, watches, bags, scarfs and gloves together with candles, home wares pictures and mirrors.
On the upper floor there are two large stockrooms, a good sized office and staff toilets. Subject to planning approval which we believe would be granted, part of the upper floor could be altered to provide a one bedroom owner/managers flat whilst still providing a substantial stockroom area.
Trading Hours.
The business currently trades from 9am until 4pm Monday to Saturday. Closed Sunday.
There are no restrictions on extending trading hours or Sunday opening.
